A "Spider-tortoise" was captured climbing up a window screen in a house to try to escape in central China.

The funny video, filmed in Yichang City in Hubei Province today (June 13), shows the tortoise hanging itself on a window screen to try to climb up, but finally falling down onto the window edge.

The filmer can be heard saying: "See the tortoise is climbing up."

Kind-hearted office workers rescued a cat trapped on a slippery roof in southern China.

The video, shot in Guangzhou city in Guangdong province on June 25, shows a man lowering down a dustbin attached to a plastic pipe to try and lift the cat up.

The cat can be seen sliding down the slippery roof after failing to cling onto the bin.

After the bin rescue operation failed they then lowered down a ladder and the cat was able to climb up to safety.

Dog owners from Tennessee cheered on their golden pup as he walked on his own, despite vets saying he'd be paralysed after being hit by a car months earlier near their home.

The amazing recovery results were caught on camera on May 29, following physical therapy sessions that the dog, named Rivers, attended to treat his injuries after the crash back in March.

After months of having to flip Rivers over to keep him from getting bed sores, he powered through his physical therapy and can now walk with a wobbly gait.

The filmer commented: "I hope anyone who is in a similar situation reads this and knows they are not alone and that miracles can happen when you refuse to give up."
